My Family Has One Less

This passed Saturday was 10 days before my Sister and her Husband's 27 year anniversary. But unfortunately they will not be able to celebrate together this year since my Brother-n-Law, Charlie Scharf, passed away on June 20, 2009 at 9:40 am at the age of 64 at the Carbondale Memorial Hospital while in the arms of my Sister, Terry Lee Scharf.

Today are the services in just a couple short hours. Charlie was a donor and he chose to be cremated, so there will not be an open casket. Charlie was a very unique character. He loved to be out on the water in their pontoon boat and loved to fish. He loved to aggravate me in the name of fun. Especially when I was a bartender and he would stop in for a few drinks. He will be sadly missed by many, including his wife, children, grandchildren and even one great grandchild, friends and family, along with his fur baby, Little Bit, who doesn't understand that daddy is not coming home.

Services are at the Searbys Funeral Home in DuQuoin, Illinois and they have an on-line registry if you would like to send your condolence, here. On the left side you will see the link for Charles Scharf. Thank You in advance.

Remember to tell those you love that you do as you never know when it will be too late to say those three very important words.

I Have a New Hobby

I have been terrible about making/writing post for my blog. I'm sorry. I have found a new hobby that I am enjoying immensely. It's taken a lot of time, but I have benefited from it. And it's fun! Plus I have met some wonderful people, and I've stayed out of trouble. I've saved money since I haven't been shopping, too!

OMG!!! Where does the time go???

I can't believe so much time has passed. Where does it go??? I had promised myself to keep up-to-date on my blog, but alas I have not. I will be starting another 29 - Day Giving Challenge soon. I promise. I just need to get some pictures taken before I can begin. And between physical therapy 3 times a week, doctor's appointments, and my two wonderful Grandsons being here so much I just have not gotten them taken yet.
