Keeping boredom at bay

also made a couple of stuffies from needle felting. Both were suns and my Mother has one of them. When I was visiting her and was showing her some of the items I made she loved the first sun, so I strung it on some thread and hung it from her ceiling so that she would always have sunshine in her room. So I don't have a picture of the first one I made. And this one is double sided with a different face on each side.

I'm having trouble with formatting today for some reason. And I haven't been able to figure out why. If you know why and can help me, I would appreciate it. Also my photo program won't allow me to turn my pictures around today. Guess it's not a good day for me to use thi8s computer. And I hate Windows Vista!

Above is also a Dotee Doll I made for a swap over at Swapbot.com. I still have a piece of the fabric to make myself one of the dotees. I can't wait to see all the dotees made out of the same fabric and all the ways they will be embellished.

Since I have been home from the hospital I have been trying to keep the boredom at bay with some crafting when I feel good or not busy doing my exercises, or the nurse stopping by to check my protime. Prior to going into the hospital I gathered a few art supplies and made sure that I could get to them because I knew I would not be able to get into my craft room with the walker. I have just way too much stuff in there. Above are a few of the items I quilled. I've also made some earring but need to put the ear wires on first before I take the pictures.

  1. Quilling looks like great fun. I'd like to have a crack at it.

  2. Hi Kristy,

Quilling is a lot of fun. There is even 3-D quilling that I can't wait to try. If you have the opportunity, give it a shot. It looks hard, but is so easy to do.
