Happy Halloween A Bit Early

Over at Dabbled, they are having a Halloween Contest. And this one of my entries, with plans of entering more items. I love this little witch, she is from Angi-B.

Ohhh my!!!!!

Carole has a really, really nice set of blog candy she is giving away. But you don't have much time to sign up for it....so run right over to StarDust Gems and Ribbon .....because this is what is up for grabs:

The prize includes…

A brand new ( still in sealed packet) Magnolia Tilda in cherry dress stamp, 6×6 Papermania Naughty and Nice paper pack, Papermania sparkly trims, brads, StarDust glitter, paper tags and two sheets of bazzill cardstock.

And who wouldn't want this! I know I want it and want it bad too! And while you are there take a look at the awesome Halloween card she made. I love it!!!! It inspired me to get busy on my own Halloween cards.

Gifts Received on Sept 18

Condolence Box Filled to the rim!

Dear sweet Wanda (from my Flickr Altered Dominos & Other Altered Game Pieces ) sent me an awesome box filled with all kinds of goodies. She did this because I lost my Mother 3 days ago and she wanted to brighten my spirits. And she did just that!

There was a beautiful plant stake with the "Foot Prints in the Sand" poem. And a Crystal with a silver sun attached, which I am going to put on a chain and wear today.

There was also pretty papers, ribbons, stones, pictures, chipboard letters, game pieces, flowers, ticket stubs, letter tiles, bingo cards, postage stamps, tags, and so much more....just take a look at the photos. The box was filled. There was also a Joker game piece made into a pendant with the word 'Inspire' on it and I will be making that into a necklace as well.

A H-U-G-E Thank You to Wanda for brightening my day! I really appreciate it!

Message in a Bottle Received

I received an awesome MIB yesterday from Angela Allen. This happened because Lisa Vollrath started this message in a bottle game and you can find out more about it here.
There were all sorts of neat items in this bottle...a teeny tiny basket, angel wins for paper making, a handmade book that Angela made and many other wonderful items.

A Crazy and Sad Week For Me

My Mother passed away on Monday which was her 77th birthday. We buried her yesterday and I am thankful that it was a warm and sunny day as she enjoyed being outdoors. I am comforted by the fact that she is no longer in pain. She has lived with pain most all of her life...either physical pain and/or heartbreak pain. Now she is at peace, no longer in pain and had joined her two children, her parents and her siblings up above. She was my BEST FRIEND and I already miss chatting with her, showing her the art that I have created, or giving her something that I've made. I feel lost without her, and I know it will get easier with time, but right now I am devastated by the loss.
