How is this Earth Day treating you all? It's the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. Have you change anything you normally do, to make the Earth a bit greener for you and your family?
- Have you started recycling items you didn't before?
- Have you put out a garden for the first time?
- Are you trying to save on your water usage or collecting rain water?
- Have you even given Earth Day a second thought?
- Have you started carpooling or combining multiple trips into one?
On to another topic..... I want to say that I am very sorry to all of my winners (of my recent 29 Days of Giveaways), that I have not gotten your prize packages in the mail yet. I ran into some financial problems and ran out of money very early this month. But rest assured, your packages will go out the very first week of May. I promise!
And speaking of sending out your prizes....
I have a wonderful giveaway planned for next week, along with an easy and very yummy recipe to share with you. So I hope that you will return to see what is in store.

when I go to the mall, I carry my fabric bags .That way I don't use plastic bags, that's a little contribution!
ReplyDeleteI save some water in the shower too n_n
I am trying to remember my reusable grocery sacks, each time I shop...that is something new for this year!!

OMG, I despise seeing people walk out of Target and WalMart with 12 plastic bags! Bless everyone who tries to be kind to the earth!
ReplyDeleteTake care of your needs, the contest were fun; if you're not able to mail out the goodies it's not a big deal.
ReplyDeleteI've been practing the 3 R's for quite some time. Reduce, Reuse Recycle.
We've had a wonderful recycling program in our community for 20+ years. We use canvas or cloth bags at the grocery, we wrap Christmas gifts in two part reuseable boxes or bags that can be reused, We use energy efficient light bulbs, we don't use AC the minute the snow melts, we have alumn. bottles we use over and over for water instead of plastic ones, we've purchased energy efficient appliances to replace appliances, we went completely off the grid for Earth Hour plus several hours more, we turn down the heat to 55 at night everynight even in the dead of winter, we both work close to home so minimize gas, and sometimes I carpool.
We automated 99.9% of our bill paying to eliminate paper.
Hum...that's all I can think of right now.
