Give-a-way Update

When I decided to do the 29-Day Giving Challenge, I jumped right in and have even started taking pictures of the items I will be giving away via this blog. But I didn't totally think it through. Financially it has been very tough on me the past 3 months. Before 2 weeks of the month were over, I had run out out money....for groceries, gas, postage, etc. With 2 weeks of the month still left to worry about. And it's this way again this month. So I will have to delay the beginning of the give-a-way until February 1st....so that I will have the funds to be able to mail out the items to the winners.

As a pre-view this is the first item I will be giving away. And if you like you can sign up between now and Feb 1st at 11:59pm central time by just leaving a comment on this post. Unfortunately this giveaway is only for the US as I can not afford the postage to ship items out of the US. Sorry.

This is an AMM On-the-Go Craft Bag, the small one. It would be great for things like scissors, craft knife, pens and such. As you can see from the picture it is lime green with black trim and is brand new. It has many pockets and compartments. If craft or scrapbook this would be handy. Or if you make jewelry I can see you keeping your jewelry pliers, ruler, crimper, chain nose pliers, and etc in this adorable bag. Good luck and don't forget to tell your friends.

On another note,

I'd like to talk about the Art by Chrysti blog, which is where I originally heard about the 29-Day Giving Challenge. Chrysti is still giving away...and she is on the 19th day of 29. But the reason I want to mention her blog today is because she speaks of two very wonderful and giving people. The first is Donna Cook who is helping the cause, Save the Sawmill Strays and then there is Kary who walks for Avon Walks for Breast Cancer Events to raise money and also in honor of her Mother. This year she has put together a huge digital package of scrapbooking goodies for a mere $8 over at Etsy. 100% of the net proceeds go towards the Avon Walk for Breat Cancer.

Take the time today to read the inspiring stories and help out either by donating or by spreading the word. It will help, and at the same time make you feel good too!

  1. BrendaLea,
Instead of giving away items why not make a quilled card? They are lovely and the postage (even overseas) is less than one dollar. I love that you want to share. :O) You are such a neat lady.

  6. What a nice little caddy thing. I've not seen one of those before; but it looks like it would be great for folks who are crafty.
