Day 10 Giveaway of 29 Days

Today before the giveaway I have a couple of announcements. The first one being about Boxtops For Education. Does anyone collect them for their school? I have been collecting them, I don't have a ton, but I do have some. None of our local schools participate in the program (what a shame, I sure wish they would), so if anyone would like to have them I would love to send them to you. Just drop me a message below or e-mail me.

Next the winners for the first 8 days of giveaways have been drawn, and I am awaiting confirmation from the winners before I post the names, that way if they do not contact me within 48 hours, I won't have to re-post the new winners names. So... if you hope you won, check your mail.

I've changed my background, due to the suggestion of The Lone Dollier, hoping that it makes it easier to read. Let me know what you think, please?

Now.... finally!!!! Today's giveaway are for these (for the lack of a better word) Hanging Jewels (sea glass wrapped in copper or silver toned wire by mawah!) are up for grabs. The winner will receive all three. A red, white, and blue one. These are great in a sunny window, hanging from your rearview mirror, on top of a package/gift, or anywhere else you need a small decoration.

**Mandatory Entry**
Post a comment to my question:
What one thing makes you stand apart from others? (hair color, height, voice, looks, etc)

I tend to stand apart from other because at the young age of 49, I can't stand straight (upright). For two years I was nearly in a 45 degree angle when I stood and could not walk without forearm crutches. Then two years ago this month on St. Paddy's Day, I had my left hip replaced. My back muscles, even with physical therapy, are not strong enough to keep me totally upright. (sorry it was such a long answer to my own question.)

  1. Brenda, the new background makes things so much easier to read. Thank you!

Okay, my voice makes me stand out. I'm from North Louisiana but relocted to South Louisiana via East Texas 17 years ago. EVERYONE knows who I am the MINUTE I open my mouth. All they have to do is meet me once!

  9. What makes me stand out from the crowd? Hmmm...that's a hard one to answer since I don't really have anything that is totally unique about me. I guess you could say my shoes. I have extremely high arches, and have inserts that go in my shoes. My podiatrist recommends a certain SAS shoe style and tells me to wear nothing but that ONE style of SAS shoe. So I have a white pair for the summer and a black pair for the winter. That is the only colors they come in - white and black. I'm probably the only woman in the world that only owns four pair of shoes - two white pair and two black pair. That's it. That and a pair of podiatrist-approved bedroom shoes. I am never, ever to go barefoot. Boring, huh?

  11. Love the pretty Red, White, and Blue...Patriotic!

What makes me stand apart...hum... I think it would be that I look younger than I am. People are always surprised to find out how old I am. I move quickly at work which is another thing that makes those younger than me surprised at my age.

Sorry to hear about your back and hip situation. Makes me hurt thinking about it. I visit a chiropractor on a regular basis and get massages when I can due to arthritis.

I won! I'm pretty excited. My email is sandycrochet@gmail.com

    Thanks bunches

I already follow you on Twitter, does that count?

  12. I stand apart because I'm so short (all of 5ft), but I've finally grown to where I like it!

  14. I do not remember your old background sorry.

If anyone replies to you about the boxtops for kids, send them my way I have a bundle, was saying thm for someone else, but she is not presently in my life (her fault...I walked away) so I'll gladly share them with someone else and continue to do so, as I do not have any school age children.

Talking, or My ability to do so, or speech...however you want to put it. I have a talent for speaking, and I have always scored very high on class presentations etc.

Not only do I talk a lot (ADHD) but I am quite knowledgeable on a number of subjects, I also read a lot, and have good education, therefore am quite articulate and have a large vocabulary.

going back all the way to middle school (I'm 49 now) I was always chosen to be the leader in group projects etc...even in college (97-2000) the "youngsters" picked me also.

  17. PS....I have lumbar spinal stenosis, the cervical spine has 3 bulging disks, one BAD herniated disk and a LARGE osteophyte complex...I have been told I am not a candid for the lumbar surgery (I am a big gal) but they may have to operate on the neck, but we have to wait til it is really unbearable.
both my knees are bone on bone...one was replaced already the other one is over due...I gotta drop about 60 lbs\. before the doc will do it.

and an on-the-job-injury left me with missing bones and some tendens and ligaments and muscle plus permanent nerve damage in the left wrist and 4 inches of missing muscle above the right elbow...so I guess that would also make me stand out. LOL
