Yummy Recipe for a Blueberry Mojito

Truvia is a natural, zero-calorie sweetener made with rebiana, the best-tasting part of the stevia plant.  Truvia offers consumers a new, natural way to reduce the number of calories in their diet.  It is 200 times sweeter than sugar; one packet of Truvia provides the same sweetness as two teaspoons of sugar.  Not only can Truvia be used to sweeten tea, coffee, cereal, fruit, etc., but you can also cook with it!  Check out great recipes at www.truvia.com.

Celebrity Chef Sam Talbot, best known as a semi-finalist on Season 2 of Bravo's "Top Chef," uses Truvia instead of sugar as an easy way to reduce the numbers of calories in his recipes without giving up sweetness or flavor.  Diagnosed at a young age with juvenile diabetes, Sam's cooking is a reflection of his insistence on fresh, healthy and natural ingredients.

Check out Sam's recipe for a Blueberry Mojito that uses Truvia instead of sugar.  This is the perfect summer cocktail!

  1. Yay, stevia! I use this stuff all the time- it's like cinnamon, makes things *taste* sweeter without adding calories. Wonderful stuff, and has a slight flavor all its own that plays very well with vanilla!

  3. Never heard of it, though know lots of people use the pink or blue, or yellow instead of sugar. It's nice people have options. I don't use sugar but once in blue moon. I buy one small box and it probably lasts longer than a year at my house. So, for me it's not issue of needing to reduce the use of it.

About the only thing I've been using it for lately is rimming my martini glass when I make a Lemondrop Martini.
