IF you can, leave me a message here, or drop me an e-mail. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Give-a-way Update
When I decided to do the 29-Day Giving Challenge, I jumped right in and have even started taking pictures of the items I will be giving away via this blog. But I didn't totally think it through. Financially it has been very tough on me the past 3 months. Before 2 weeks of the month were over, I had run out out money....for groceries, gas, postage, etc. With 2 weeks of the month still left to worry about. And it's this way again this month. So I will have to delay the beginning of the give-a-way until February 1st....so that I will have the funds to be able to mail out the items to the winners.
As a pre-view this is the first item I will be giving away. And if you like you can sign up between now and Feb 1st at 11:59pm central time by just leaving a comment on this post. Unfortunately this giveaway is only for the US as I can not afford the postage to ship items out of the US. Sorry.
This is an AMM On-the-Go Craft Bag, the small one. It would be great for things like scissors, craft knife, pens and such. As you can see from the picture it is lime green with black trim and is brand new. It has many pockets and compartments. If craft or scrapbook this would be handy. Or if you make jewelry I can see you keeping your jewelry pliers, ruler, crimper, chain nose pliers, and etc in this adorable bag. Good luck and don't forget to tell your friends.
On another note,
I'd like to talk about the Art by Chrysti blog, which is where I originally heard about the 29-Day Giving Challenge. Chrysti is still giving away...and she is on the 19th day of 29. But the reason I want to mention her blog today is because she speaks of two very wonderful and giving people. The first is Donna Cook who is helping the cause, Save the Sawmill Strays and then there is Kary who walks for Avon Walks for Breast Cancer Events to raise money and also in honor of her Mother. This year she has put together a huge digital package of scrapbooking goodies for a mere $8 over at Etsy. 100% of the net proceeds go towards the Avon Walk for Breat Cancer.
Take the time today to read the inspiring stories and help out either by donating or by spreading the word. It will help, and at the same time make you feel good too!

Things Happen in 3's it Seems
My heart is still heavy today with the loss of John, and the loss of my Mother in September. That is two, who will be the third? Why do things happen in 3's? Does anyone know? I don't have the answer, but I know it happens. If you look at celebrities that have passed away, when one leaves us...shortly there will be two more to follow.
I used to listen to Steve and DC in the Morning on a local radio station (I loved their show) but then the local station quit carrying it and I quit listening to that station. They were based out of St. Louis, MO. I haven't tried to listen to them on-line as I have been having computer problems, but I digress....one day they had a long discussion on that very topic of things happening in 3's .... and I didn't even realize it until they mentioned it, and by golly, they were right. They do happen in 3's!

I just learned that a very dear friend of mine.....
My Sister, Terry, called me a few moments ago. She informed me that a very dear friend of mine, John Bean, passed away yesterday. Today is my Father's birthday or would be if he had not passed away 37 years ago.
I don't have any more info at this time, except that John was to have passed away yesterday from cancer. I never knew he had cancer, he never said a word to me.
John and I dated for several years, until he moved to Southern Missouri for a job. But we kept in touch. I always thought that he and I would eventually get back together. While we dated he had asked me to marry him, and I said yes, but it just never happened. John and I had a lot of fun together, and I will really miss him. He was a very unique person, one-of-a-kind. He's the one that taught me to go tubing down the river, and he's the one that took me deer hunting. He and his Brother would make the most delicious deer bratwurst....oh so yummy. John loved to watch lightening storms. He had a small camper that we would lay in for hours watching the lightening storms light up the sky through all the windows in the camper.
I had sent him a Christmas card, but it was returned to me a couple weeks ago. I didn't understand why. John had a nickname for me. He called me "Hide", as in a deer hide.
Time for me to take a break and go cry a spell.

.......and a winner is.....Moi!
Isn't this a beautiful bead? This froggy's name is Lizzie. I won this from Larry's Beads that is located in my home town of Belleville, Illinois. And if you go to Larry's website and vote for his site you will be entered to win one of his beautiful beads too. Hop on over to Larry's and good luck winning.
I recently won a book from Lindsey over at Craftside....and I am tickled. It's a paper quilling book titled: The Art of Paper Quilling by: Claire Sun-ok Choi. I've already begun making some of the floral arrangements. Not many mind you, but I have begun. I really need to get pictures taken of the book and what I have created so far. I so enjoy paper quilling while watching TV. Since my little fur baby, Coffee, likes me to sit right next to him, it's one craft I can do in the recliner.
And here they are.....a few pictures I finally took today.
